Always a little more guitar

Life is short on guitar. Always a little more. That is not a metaphor. I mean strings.

There is something in his voice and something in that guitar that is the same temperature. I put it on and my mood goes where it is supposed to go. Not hype. Not sad. Just a good room to work in.

I have spent a lot of nights pretending I need silence. I do not. I need this kind of noise. The kind that sits next to you and does not ask for a brief.

If the day is ugly, more guitar. If the day is fine, still more guitar. I am not evolving. See also: Wednesday number one.
